Online course organised by CONFESQ

EMEA Spain member, CONFESQ, will be launching a course in January specifically focused on Myalgic Encephalomyelitis.

The course is designed for doctors and healthcare professionals to help them understand and gain expertise in diagnosing and managing this condition.

The course is indeed quite technical and is specifically designed to provide training for healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses, clinical psychologists, and other medical personnel. Its primary aim is to equip them with the knowledge and tools necessary to better understand and manage this debilitating condition.

While the course is not suitable for patients in its current format, we are considering the possibility of creating an adapted version for patients in the future, focusing on some of the less technical modules to make the content more accessible.

Regarding the language, the course is currently offered in Spanish.

The course includes a lecture by EMERG member Dr. Beata De la-Jaworska, a highly respected family physician specializing in ME/CFS in the United Kingdom.

Additionally, there is a lecture on viral factors by another EMERG member Professor Dr. Elisa Oltra, along with sessions on neurocognitive evaluation, cardiopulmonary exercise testing, and the diagnosis of comorbidities, among others.

These topics are complemented by an overview of some treatment approaches.

We understand the importance of making the course more widely accessible and are exploring the possibility of subtitling it in English in the future. More inormation is available here - https://confesq.org/?p=29952
